On-to-Jekyll Committee Report

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as chairman of the On-to-Jekyll Committee for 1999-2000.
Once again Rotary District 6900 will hold it's annual conference at Jekyll Island the last Friday in April of 2000. The club will have a display and scrapbook in the Hall of Friendship for District Leadership and other Rotary Clubs to review.
In order to encourage Camilla Rotary member's participation, the event will be promoted throughout the year during our weekly meetings.
In addition, new members to Rotary will be strongly encourage to attend the annual conference prior to their third year of membership. In the past, our club has paid the cost of enrollment for each member's initial conference; therefore, I strongly recommend this practice be continued and be reflected in the budget. As incentive, I will attempt to secure some type of prize or award to be granted to a "First Time Attendant." This will be at no cost to the club.
