Environment Committee Report

Chairman: Mike Scott

As the new chairman of the Environment Committee for the Camilla Rotary Club, I would like to inform you of some of the committee's plans for  the upcoming year.

We will continue the Rotary tradition of helping plant and maintain the numerous trees and plants throughout the City.  Last year, the  City of Camilla was awarded the "TREE CITY, USA" award from the Arbor Day Foundation.  The efforts of past tree plantings were certainly instrumental in this endeavor.

Secondly, I would like for the committee to work with the Mitchell-Baker Service Center in improving the recycling program for Camilla. Lately, participation has fallen and we would like to see the trend reversed.

The committee will be providing you with financial requirements at a later date.

If you have any questions about the proposals, please don't hesitate to contact me.
