Fund Raising Committee Report

The Fund Raising Committee for the Camilla Rotary Club will conduct a fund raising event in March of 2000 to raise funds
to help support the outstanding work of the Mitchell-Baker ARC and the Boys & Girls Club. Our goal is to raise $5000 through member donations. We will follow a format
similar to that of the "March Madness" event which has taken place the past six years. The event takes its theme from the championship NCAA Basketball Tournament held in
March each year and commonly known as "March Madness". The event will be conducted in the following manner:
At our regular meeting that coincides with the opening round of the tournament, this committee will provide the program.
We will explain the procedures of the contest and will have a "Sports Authority" or a "Panel of Experts" give us an overview of the teams. This will be designed to stir up interest in the games and to help members select their teams. Prizes will e awarded each week during the tournament. This is an opportunity for Rotarians to demonstrate their sports knowledge in friendly competition as we support these worthy causes.
Our committee will also consider other community projects and fund raising possibilities so as to provide the greatest
benefit to our community.
