Interact Committee Report
Chairman: Christy W. Cameron
It is with much excitement that I report to you regarding our plans for the reintroduction of the Interact club.
We have filled out the necessary paperwork for our charter and have paid the initial fees. My co-chairman is Kevin Carden. With his position as principal of Westwood Schools, it does seem our possibilities are endless. Our prospective members are being recommended by their teachers based on their school performance both inside and outside the classroom. As we both know, Rotary is a service organization. This same basic concept defines the Interact club as well. Our outline for the year includes fund raisers to help causes the Interact members themselves choose to support. Our first initial meeting will take place August 24, 1999 with the students. Our committee will meet in early July to finalize the location of all the Interact meetings.
This will be a nice feather in your presidential cap to reintroduce our club to Interact. I am honored by your faith in me to
chair this committee. I hereby promise you great things for the 1999-2000 Interact year.
